The story behind...Beat Boxin Vol. 1

I get it! I understand it...if you love your cubase or protools even you Reason and Fruity loops...I get it! That's what works for you...and it should! but this is me! This '95 mentality I got works for me so it was only a matter of time that I would of fallback into my roots of production. So I got rid of The Fruity Loops, the Cubase and all the other digital software and got back it my hardware and began a journey in taking my first steps in rediscovering why I love my HIP HOP music...

THE MV 8000...the only tool I need, the only beast that understands me.

This project Beat Boxin Vol. 1 is more than an unsigned artist trying to break through the industry doors,in fact it nothing like that at all. It's more of a sense of purpose for myself. An audio training camp to push the limits when giving limitations, granted the MV is a powerful production machine but you go from endless audio tracks using digital - down to 8 audio tracks! that's a tight fit. But that's when creativity begins, it forces not only myself but the recording artist I chosen to work with to think outside of the box (or digital recording).

So Beat Boxin Vol. 1 is a project completely inspired by some of my most influential producers and artist like:
Madlib /Quasimoto - who's producing and vocal concepts is completely unrated! the ability to create a story within story without losing the overall purpose. Using samples (rare) to set-up and create the atmosphere of what's about to come.
J Dilla (R.I.P) - his Lo-Fi feeling and making the most of sample rather than just a loop. He inspited me to really listen beyond the music and catch that rare piece and turn into something great.
MF DOOM - his unorthodox vocal style. By saying he needs to be said without the addition belief that music needs a certain format in order to be consider great music.
and
RZA - who just did what he wanted to do! The reason why I got my MV in the first place. The simple fact that he makes great and classic music AND score OST with one machine, made me realize that I don't need countless plug-ins and effect units, I don't need nothing beside my creative thought and my MV to bring life to my music.

I went back to concept albums and giving you the listener more than a bunch of random tracks from several producers and artists that was going nowhere. One producer, an artist team, and a concept! THAT'S IT.
You can listen and download the first leak track "The Art of Love Making"

THE LEAK!!!!!

Even though many knows me as Craig Brooklyn the DJ, I first passion of music was writing and emcee-ing and then came the producing. It's been a minute since I stepped behind the mic as an emcee but I got some inspiration and a muse that driven me to dust off my microphones.

So allow me to present on of the leading tracks off my up coming project entitled: Beat Boxin vol1. this is THE ART OF LOVE MAKING....
